Youth accused of stabbing

A YOUTH appeared before magistrates yesterday after a man suffered multiple stab wounds in Gravesend at the weekend. The 17-year-old, from Chatham, who cannot be named legally, was bailed until September 17 at Dartford, charged with causing grievous bodily harm.
Paul Philips, believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s, is in hospital with a damaged spleen and wounds to his upper body after an attack in a block of flats in Parrock Street, Gravesend, early on Saturday morning.
