Abbey joins Fleet as Budge moves on

GRAVESEND & Northfleet's revolving door continues to turn with Ben Abbey’s arrival and the departure of fellow striker Kevin Budge.

Abbey, 25, has signed a one-year contract following his release by Nationwide League, Division 3, club Macclesfield. He has previous non-league experience with Crawley, Stevenage and Woking. In the Nationwide League, he played for Oxford and Southend. Manager Andy Ford said of Abbey: “He’s an experienced goal poacher and I’ve been looking to bring him to the club for some time."
