Ebbsfleet United have signed former Colchester United midfielder Jordan Sanderson.

The 20-year-old, who played for the Fleet against Gillingham on Saturday, becomes the 23rd member of manager Steve Brown's squad going into the Vanarama Conference South season.

Sanderson has also spent time on loan at Chelmsford City.

Brown told the club's website: "Jordan was released by Colchester in the summer and he has been on trial with us since the beginning of the pre-season run of games.

"He played very well at Dulwich Hamlet and then sustained a hamstring injury and he came back into the squad against Gillingham and gave a very tidy cameo performance in the latter stages of the match.

"I have been very impressed with his attitude and skill in training and I am pleased he has further added to the strength in depth of our first-team squad."

Ebbsfleet's first league game is at home to Concord Rangers on Tuesday night.
