Tamworth v Gravesend & Northfleet

GRAVESEND manager Liam Daish is not underestimating Nationwide Conference basement side Tamworth ahead of Saturday's clash, despite taking points off Accrington Stanley and York in their last two games.

Daish said: "We're going from playing York, who have real aspirations of returning to the Football League, to playing Tamworth, who are fighting to stay in the Conference.

"But we'll have to work just as hard against them as we did against York."

Striker Jamie Guy, who is on loan from Colchester, will be pushing for a starting place for the trip to the Midlands after impressing as a substitute against York.

Former Gillingham defender Joe Dunne, now Colchester's youth team manager, endorsed the 18-year-old's credentials by declaring: "Jamie scored more than 30 goals playing for Colchester's youth and reserve teams last season.

"He is raw, aggressive and a handful. Once he settles at Gravesend I know he will score goals for them."
