DAISH: "The supporters can really play their part. We need...everyone to get right behind us"

Ebbsfleet v Aldershot

LIAM DAISH has called on Ebbsfleet United supporters to act as their 12th man ahead of their FA Trophy first leg, semi-final clash against Aldershot at Stonebridge Road on Saturday.

Fleet are just two games away from Wembley, with the second leg taking place at the Recreation Ground on March 15.

** Saturday's clash kicks off at noon rather than 3pm due to police advice. **

Aldershot are 10 points clear at the top of the Blue Square Premier but the Fleet manager is confident his side can book their place in the final against either Torquay or York.

Daish said: "I hope we can perform on the day. We've already performed against teams around the top. I’m sure we’ll respect them but we also deserve respect from them.

"The supporters can really play their part. Hopefully they'll turn out for it. We need their support and for everyone to get right behind us."

He added: "It hasn't been a problem keeping the players focused. We're just trying to prepare to the end of the season. We've just got to keep concentrating on each game."

James Smith (hamstring) and Liam Coleman (knee) are both expected to miss the game through injury.
