A YOUNG cricketer took five wickets in one over for Gravesend Cricket Club Colts. Willem Purdy, 10, achieved in his remarkable feat in the first five balls of an over against Southfleet under-11s in a friendly 20-over match. And , even more incredibly, all five home batsmen were clean bowled by Purdy, who only just missed out on a double hat-trick. But the youngster, who lives in Lower Higham Road in Chalk, could not prevent his team losing to Southfleet. The opposing team were magnanimous in victory, though, and presented Purdy with the match ball to honour his achievement.
