DAISH: "It's going to be an exciting time"

MANAGER Liam Daish has backed the club's move to change its name from Gravesend & Northfleet to Ebbsfleet United.

The Fleet shocked the football world with their announcement last week, but boss Daish said: "It's all been done for the right reasons.

"We are trying to get more interest in the club and getting on the back of everything that is happening in the Ebbsfleet area is a good idea. It's going to be an exciting time."

Daish has admitted it may be some time before the club welcomes any new arrivals.

He added: "It's way too early to be talking about people coming in. I've got to find out what players and money are available."
