DAISH: "As ever, it's a matter of what we can afford"

GRAVESEND manager Liam Daish has told the club that he needs another 11 players to replace the 11 who left in the biggest cull in the club’s history.

Daish has met with directors to discuss the way forward as the Fleet complete the transition from a part-time to a 100 per cent full-time club before the start of the 2006-07 Conference campaign.

He attended the annual exit trials at Lilleshall where players released by Premiership clubs go in the shop window.

With the Professional Footballers’ Association’s list of free transfers about to be published, Daish will have a clearer idea of players’ availabilty.

He said: "I’m looking to bring in another 11 players to replace those who have left. But as ever, it’s a matter of what we can afford."
