DAISH: "They are a very strong side with some good players"

Gravesend & Northfleet v Crawley Town

GRAVESEND & NORTHFLEET manager Liam Daish is refusing to underestimate Nationwide Conference strugglers Crawley Town ahead of their Boxing Day

Crawley began the season with a 10 point deduction as a punishment for going into administration but despite their problems, the Red Devils have managed to climb out of the relegation zone.

Manager Liam Daish said: "Hopefully we can hit the ground running on Boxing Day.

"Although they’ve had their problems, one to 11 they are still a very strong side with some good players.

"They have done brilliantly and look like they are pulling away from it now."

The kick-off has been brought forward to 1pm in a move which Daish has welcomed.

He said: "I think it is a good idea. After people have spent their Christmas Day, they don’t want to be hanging about for 3pm and a 1pm kick off always creates a little bit of a buzz."
