Ebbsfleet have signed former Gillingham striker Cody McDonald.

The 32-year-old was a free agent having been released by AFC Wimbledon at the end of last season.

McDonald renews acquaintances with his former Gills team-mate Danny Kedwell at Stonebridge Road.

McDonald was linked with a move to Ebbsfleet last summer, after leaving Gillingham, but instead joined the Dons in League 1.

The former Norwich and Coventry forward, who played for Dartford earlier in his career, is Garry Hill's first signing as Ebbsfleet manager.

McDonald is set to make his Fleet debut at Maidenhead on Tuesday night.
