UPBEAT: Liam Daish

GRAVESEND were handed the chance to make further progress in the FA Trophy when they were drawn away to Southern League Division 1 East club Boreham Wood in the second round.

Though the club were hoping for a home tie, manager Liam Daish was upbeat.

He said: "Obviously, we would have preferred a home draw but providing our attitude is the same as it was on Saturday at East Thurrock then we’ve got a chance.

"Boreham Wood are going well in their division and chasing promotion so we’ll treat them with the respect they deserve."
