Fleet's Jackson doubtful for Leigh clash

SKIPPER Jimmy Jackson may miss Gravesend and Northfleet's game against second from bottom Leigh RMI on Saturday at Stonebridge Road.

Jackson, who was forced to play out of position at left-back at Chester last Sunday, is doubtful with a shin injury. Striker Liam Hatch (rib) and Steve McKimm (knee) will undergo late fitness tests.

Fleet boss Andy Ford is talking with on-loan left-back Paul Sturgess about making the move from Stevenage permanent.

Stevenage manager Wayne Turner, who has made the player available for transfer, does not want him cup-tied on Saturday week.
