The Gravesend Gremlins are well on course to achieve their goal of completing their 2021km challenge.

The Gremlins will be running and walking the distance throughout March and have set a target of £1,000 to raise money for the Choices charity.

Gravesend Gremlins are taking part in a 2021km challenge in March and looking forward to coming together again as a team soon

Choices are helping children, women and men in Gravesend and the surrounding areas to feel safe in their own homes, in relationships free from violence. They are working towards a world where domestic abuse is fully understood as unacceptable.

In the first week of the challenge the team had raised over £300 and covered a distance of 639km.

The team’s progress can be tracked on their facebook page and there is a link for donations.

Gravesend’s Catherine Thompson said: “It’s been a tough year for everyone, it feels great to be doing something as a team!”

Their sponsorship page says: “This is a huge challenge for us but we are fully committed to the 2021km challenge to ensure that Choices can continue to help many more in our local community throughout 2021 and beyond.”

Players will hope to be back out training in early April every Wednesday and Sunday. The club welcomes newcomers of all abilities. Contact Catherine on 07748 115167 for further information.
