Neil Barrett has been out for five weeks

Burton Albion v Ebbsfleet United

EBBSFLEET UNITED manager Liam Daish will be boosted by the return of midfielder Neil Barrett ahead of tonight's trip to Burton Albion in the Blue Square Premier.

Barrett returned to full training on Monday following five weeks out with ankle ligament damage.

The former Woking midfielder has returned a lot sooner than first expected after suffering the injury during Fleet's 2-1 defeat against Salisbury City.

Daish's only fresh injury concern is Danny Slatter who took a knock to his knee early on in Saturday's 5-4 victory over Kidderminster Harriers.

The first assessment of his injury indicates he has suffered some ligament damage.

Defender James Smith is also making good progress following his double hernia operation.

He is expected to return to full training in three to four weeks while Mark Ricketts (knee) is expected to return to full training by the end of this week.
