New signing John Paul Kissock needed little persuasion when manager Daryl McMahon outlined his manifesto for next season’s promotion push.

Kissock left Vanarama Conference South play-off finalists Whitehawk to sign for Fleet last week and he plans to be the creative force they so often lacked during the 2014/15 campaign.

In fact, he's a player in McMahon’s own image, so the arrival of Kissock at Stonebridge Road is timely given that his manager has just called time on his own playing career.

Kissock said: "After meeting Daryl, it was a no-brainer for me. The club’s got plenty of ambition and that fits well with me.

"I liked the manager and everything he said. The way he wants to play football is good for me.

"He sold it well, how he sees the future. He wants me to get us playing, get on the ball a lot and dictate the tempo of the game."
