Stacy Long says it will be a great honour to play at Wembley

MIDFIELDER Stacy Long will be a proud man if he goes on to represent Ebbsfleet at Wembley in the FA Trophy final after Saturday’s semi-final win over Aldershot.

The former Charlton trainee played an instrumental role in the injury-time equaliser when his shot was saved by Nikki Bull, with the rebound fired home by team-mate Michael Bostwick.

Long said: “Wembley is probably the most famous ground in the world so it would be a great honour to play there.

"I’ve never played there before so it makes it even more special. It’s been a long season for us and this is a great reward for all the hard work we’ve put in.”
