Opportunity knocks for Drury at Fleet

ANDY DRURY, Sittingbourne's outstanding young midfielder, is having trials with Gravesend & Northfleet and has been included in the squad for this weekend's West Country tour.

Drury, 20, who was assessed last season by Gillingham, Derby and Bournemouth, decided to move up into the Nationwide Conference with the Fleet after his Sittingbourne contract expired.

But Fleet manager Andy Ford warned: “Andrew knows it is a big step up from the Dr Martens League, Eastern Division, to the Conference so there will be no quick decisions.”

Should Drury impress and agree to join the Fleet they will have to fork out a fee for the player who has rejected a new contract with the Bourne.
