Strikers doubtful for Fleet clash

GRAVESEND & Northfleet will be looking to stretch their four-match unbeaten sequence on Saturday at third-placed Shrewsbury, who won 3-0 at Stonebridge Road in November.

Fleet will be boosted by the fact that they have not lost on the road since Christmas as they attempt to put more daylight between themselves and the relegation zone.

Manager Andy Ford will be hoping his players show greater self-belief, which he felt they lacked in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at home to Barnet.

Roy Essandoh is rated only 50-50 for Saturday, while fellow striker Ben Abbey is doubtful (thigh). A third striker, newcomer Tony Battersby, is kept out of the squad with a groin strain.
