Arrests after knife death

A man and a teenager have been arrested in Herne Bay on suspicion of murder.

The 20-year-old and a youth aged 16 were arrested in Peartree Road on Wednesday morning.

It follows a disturbance at Wilderness Hill in Margate on Tuesday at 9.20pm.

A 36-year-old man from Margate was taken to the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital with knife wounds, but died there just before 10pm.

A post mortem is being held on Wednesday afternoon.

The man and youth, plus a 42-year-old man, all from Margate, are in custody at Margate and Canterbury and are being questioned on suspicion of murder.

The 42-year-old was arrested at 9.40pm Tuesday in Wilderness Hill.
