Passers-by delighted by hydroflying display on Hampton beach, Herne Bay

Beachgoers were delighted by an unexpected aerial display this afternoon.

Passers-by stopped on Hampton beach, Herne Bay, to watch as a thrill seeker performed a spectacular series of acrobatics.

A water sports enthusiast performs impressive tricks at sea

As temperatures continued to soar across the county, they looked to be enjoying themself as they twisted and tumbled through the air.

The person appeared to be using a device known as a jetboard, which is used for hydroflying.

The futuristic-looking water sport is growing in popularity.

It sees the user strapped to a board, and propelled into the air by jets of water. The pilot can control the direction in which they move by shifting their body weight.
