CCTV issued after attempted car theft in Linden Avenue, Herne Bay

Police have released images of a man they hope to trace after reports of an attempted car theft.

One driver reported finding their car door and glove compartment open, and items left inside moved around, after leaving their vehicle parked in Linden Avenue, Herne Bay, overnight on June 28.

It was reported that offenders were seen trying door handles of other cars in the same street that night.

Police investigating the incident have released CCTV images of a man they hope to trace.

PC Tom Booth said: "We hope that people will recognise the clothing and trainers worn by the man pictured, as perhaps belonging to someone they know."
