Part of road between Herne Bay and Canterbury closed after crash near to Wildwood animal park

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash near to Wildwood animal park this afternoon.

Police and paramedics were called to Canterbury Road around 12.20pm after a collision between a motorbike and a Nissan car.

Drivers are being warned to expect delays after the crash closed part of the road, near to the junction with Hicks Forstal Road.

Police spokesman Andy Saunders said: "Officers and Secamb attended the scene and the male motorcyclist was taken to hospital.

"His injuries are not believed to be serious."

The road is the main route between Herne Bay and Canterbury, close to Wildwood animal park.
