POLICE have appealed for information after a 34-year-old man was assaulted while walking his dogs.

The incident happened on the seafront at West Beach, Central Parade, at Herne Bay.

Minutes earlier the victim had found a Staffordshire Bull terrier running free and took hold of the dog to see if it had any identity tags.

The offender approached him and starting shouting, pushing the man onto the beach before punching him in the face. The offender then left the scene with the bull terrier.
