A 48-year-old suspected of drink-driving has been arrested after a car crashed into a lamppost.

Police were called to Broomfield near Herne Bay just after 10.30pm last night following the collision.

A man from Canterbury was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, but had to be taken to hospital for treatment.

A lamppost was damaged in the crash.
