Entrants needed for Miss Herne Bay contest

Do you fancy representing your town at carnivals and civic events this year?

If so, get down to the Kings Hall, Herne Bay, on Good Friday, April 10.

Hopefuls bidding for the Miss Herne Bay title will be there for the crowning of the 2009 carnival court.

Any girl aged 15 or above and living locally is eligible to enter.

Prizes include made-to-measure dresses from Attractions Bridal Studio, Wildwood and Kavanagh Cinema passes, gifts from a number of town outlets, and a professional portrait sitting at Style Photography.

Herne Bay Carnival Association chairman Andy Birkett paid tribute to the departing court.

He said: “Emma Foster and her princesses Hannah Kemp and Charlotte Farrant have all enjoyed their year representing Herne Bay.

They have proved to be great ambassadors for the town in which they live.”

The selection dance will begin at 7.30pm. Entry forms can be picked up from Style Photography at 71 High Street, online at www.hernebay
