A fallen tree has "completely blocked" a road outside Herne Bay.

Police were called at 1.23pm to Bullockstone Road, close to the junction with Canterbury Road.

Kent Highways are at the scene near Bullockstone Hill Woods using chainsaws to clear the tree up.

Police spokesman Jon Green said: "We were called at 1.23pm just past Bullockstone - the road is completely blocked.

"We have called Highways because they are equipped with chainsaws.

"Highways are trying to clear the fallen tree."
