The Old Thanet Way has been shut by police following a four-car smash this evening.

Officers have closed the road in both directions between Greenhill and Chestfield following the rush-hour smash at 5.20pm.

No serious injuries have been reported, but a man driving one of the vehicles has been taken to Margate's QEQM Hospital as a precaution.

Police officers remain at the scene managing traffic and arranging for the recovery of the vehicles.
