Lamborghini caught speeding in Herne Bay

A Lamborghini driver caught speeding in Kent has been given a ticket by police.

Officers clocked the luminous green supercar in Herne Bay going at 41mph in a 30mph limit earlier today.

The offence in Sea Street, opposite the Studd Hill estate, was spotted by officers from the Kent Police roads unit, who were working in the area with the Canterbury community safety unit.

The luxury car is thought to be a Lamborghini Huracán Performante.

The model can go from 0 to 60mph in 2.9 seconds and is valued at £215,000, according to autocar.co.uk.

A picture of the vehicle, with the licence plate obscured, was posted by the Kent Police Canterbury Twitter account this afternoon.

They said: "@kentpoliceroads working with #Canterbury #communitysafetyunit today.

"This vehicle was stopped in #HerneBay doing 41 MPH in a 30 MPH limit. Driver issued with a ticket #fatal4 #speedkills #slowdown."
