A suspect has been charged with robbery after a post office worker was attacked and threatened during a raid.
Cash was stolen from a till at Broomfield Post Office in Margate Road, Herne Bay, during the incident on Saturday evening.
A member of staff, who was working at the time, says she was left traumatised by the assault, in which a man allegedly grabbed and threatened her.
Jon Pughe, of Clifftown Gardens in Herne Bay, was later arrested in relation to the incident.
Police have now revealed that the 41-year-old has been charged with one count of robbery.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Folkestone Magistrates' Court today.
