Body of man in 70s found on Herne Bay beach near Central Parade

The body of man in his 70s has tragically been discovered on a beach.

Emergency services descended on Central Parade in Herne Bay this morning shortly before 8.30am today.

Police have since confirmed they were called to a report a man's body had been found.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Officers attended Central Parade in Herne Bay, where a man in his 70s was confirmed deceased.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner."

Police and paramedics were seen on Herne Bay seafront this morning.
