Jeremy Long and Hollie Cheeseman charged with street robbery in Herne Bay

A man, said to be armed with a knife, and woman have been charged with robbery after a victim was allegedly threatened and forced to hand over his bank card.

The incident is said to have happened in Collins Road, Herne Bay, on Thursday, June 13.

The investigation subsequently led to Jeremy Long, 41, and Hollie Cheeseman, 32, both of Collins Road, being arrested.

They both appeared before Medway Magistrates Court on Saturday charged with robbery. Mr Long is further accused of possessing an offensive weapon, namely a knife.

The pair have been remanded in custody to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, July, 15.
