Police investigate sexual assault in Reculver, Herne Bay

Police are investigating after a woman was sexually assaulted in Herne Bay.

The woman in her 50s had gone for a walk along the seafront when she was approached by a man who asked her for a kiss at Beacon Hill.

She declined and the man walked off in the direction of Reculver - but he subsequently assaulted her when she got to the footpath leading from the car park at Reculver Towers.

He then walked off in the direction of the car park.

The incident took place in Reculver Lane at some time between 9.30am and 2.20pm on Sunday, February 14.

Police have now released an e-fit image of a man they want to speak to.

The offender is described as a white man, 5ft 8ins tall, with grey hair and he was wearing blue jeans, a dark blue shirt and a grey-coloured zip-up coat without a hood.
