Fourteen cars have been damaged by vandals in Herne Bay, causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.

The vehicles, parked in Richmond Street, Kings Road and Beach Street, were scratched sometime between 4pm and 4.30pm on Thursday January 22.

PC Chris Kidd, who is investigating the incident said: “not only has this crime caused thousands of pounds worth of damage, it has also caused the car owners a significant amount of inconvenience.

“This kind of thoughtless vandalism is simply not acceptable.”
