Fire engines called to Pier Avenue, Herne Bay after shed fire

Two sheds have been destroyed in a large fire that tore through a garden in the early hours.

Firefighters in two fire engines were called to the blaze at a property in Pier Avenue, Herne Bay, just after 1.15am on Sunday.

They found two sheds well alight, and wearing breathing apparatus they set about extinguishing the flames with water jets.

They then used a ventilation fan to clear smoke and fumes from the area.

There are no reports of any injuries, and the cause of the fire has not been established.
