One of the designs for Herne Bay's Cultural Trail: beams will connect the pier head to the pier

Inspirational designs have been drawn up by art students for possible inclusion along Herne Bay’s Cultural Trail.

They include beams of white light connecting the two ends of the pier and illuminating the pier head, coloured windows for the seafront wind shelters and a railway station mural.

The designs from Canterbury College have been presented to the Herne Bay Town Partners.

Chris West, spokesman, said: “The results have been amazing. Not only do we have some wonderful ideas for the Cultural Trail but there are other projects outside of that which we will look to seek funding for.”
