Work is ongoing to remove travellers who have set up camp on a BMX track.

They are believed to have moved onto the site in Ford Road on the outskirts of Herne Bay earlier today.

Canterbury City Council spokesman Rob Davies says police and enforcement officers are at the scene.

He added that the local authority "will work as quickly as the law allows to remove them".
