Two men have been arrested on suspicion of sexual offences after being confronted by online vigilantes.

The first suspect was confronted at his home address in Herne Bay at 3.30pm yesterday by members of Broken Dreams, a group which says it "actively seeks online predators".

Shortly after the first arrest, police were called to Station Road, where a man was being restrained after he was confronted by vigilantes

Following a lengthy conversation live-streamed on Facebook, the man was driven to the town's police station at 5.30pm, where he was arrested.

Shortly after, police were called to Station Road in Herne Bay, where a man was being restrained after he was confronted by members of Team Impact, a similar vigilante group.

He too was detained on suspicion of sexual offences.
