Passenger cut from car after smash at junction of Canterbury Road with Eddington Lane, Herne Bay

Fire crews had to cut a passenger out of a car following a crash at the Canterbury Road junction with Eddington Lane, Herne Bay, on Friday night.

Emergency services were called to the scene at about 7.30pm following a collision between two vehicles.

The road was closed while firefighters cut the roof off one of the cars and paramedics treated the victim, who was then taken to hospital. Their condition is not known.

The incident caused long delays into the evening for traffic in the area until the road was cleared.
