Kent Police launch investigation after body is found in churchyard in Lower Blackhouse Hill, Hythe

An investigation has been launched after a body was discovered in Hythe this morning.

Police were called at 8.42am to the Virgin Mother of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Lower Blackhouse Hill in the town.

The body is thought to have been found in the churchyard. Detectives are not treating the death as suspicious.

Police are yet to reveal any details about the victim and no arrests have been made.

A spokesman said: "Kent Police attended an address in Lower Blackhouse Hill, Hythe at 8.42am on Monday, December 1 following reports that the body of a man had been found.

"Officers attended but the death is not currently believed to be suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner."
