Police and ambulance crews called out after car crash closes A259 Hythe Road, Dymchurch

Drivers experienced delays after a two-car crash closed a main road.

Police and paramedics are at the scene of the accident on the A259 Hythe Road in Dymchurch .

The road was closed in both directions following the collision, which happened at about 3.15pm.

Diversions were in place while vehicles are recovered.

An ambulance service spokesman said two patients were assessed at the scene.

The road was reopened by about 6pm.
