Police and ambulances called to woodland near Hythe

Emergency services have descended on a road after concerns for the welfare of a woman.

Several police and ambulance vehicles have been at the scene in Hythe since around 7.15am.

Forensic vehicles have also been seen in the road, which runs close to Paraker Wood.

An eyewitness said: "It looks like an unfolding incident, there are three ambulances, four police cars and now the forensics have just turned up.

"Seems that whatever is going on is in Paraker Wood."

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called to Spring Lane in Hythe at 7.17am following a report of concern for a woman.

"Officers are at the scene with the ambulance service."
