Man hurt after falling 20ft from ladder near Royal Military Canal in Hythe

A man was rushed to hospital after falling 20ft from the top of a ladder.

The incident happened on the Royal Military Canal bank in Hythe.

The air ambulance landed in nearby Peregrine Close and two ambulances parked close to the scene.

Ambulance spokesman Rich Airey said: "The man was treated before being taken to the William Harvey Hospital as a priority.

"He was suffering from pelvic pain, he had fallen 20ft.

"At the time his injuries were not believed to be life threatening."

The incident happened at 1.45pm yesterday.
