A 46-year-old man has appeared in court in connection with a stabbing at a house in Hythe.

Clinton Wood, of Wakefield Way, Hythe, appeared at Dover Magistrates Court on Saturday morning.

He is charged with attempted murder and blackmail.

He was arrested following a stabbing at a house in Springfield Way, Hythe, last Thursday, at 5.34pm.

The victim, a 52-year-old man, was not thought to have life-threatening injuries.

The case was adjourned until Monday, April 27, at Maidstone Crown Court.
