A supplier and designer of ventilation and air conditioning systems has bought two rival companies for an undisclosed sum.

Wozair, a manufacturer based in Gillingham, has acquired temperature control firm Jet Environmental Systems and its sister company Jet AHU Ltd, which supplies and installs air handling units.

The privately-owned Kent firm, which supplies much of its equipment to oil rigs, had a turnover of £39 million last year and has operations in Europe, Singapore, Dubai, Korea, USA and Australia.

In a letter to clients and suppliers, Jason Hibbs, managing director at Jet Environmental, based in Birmingham, said: “The purchase is very positive and a major milestone in the development of the Jet businesses, ensuring a solid platform for geographic expansion and product development.”
