A booking company for airport hotel and parking has picked up two awards.

Holiday Extras, based in Hythe, was named car hire supplier of the year and travel essentials company of the year at the Travel Trade Gazette’s annual awards.

Bosses at the firm, established in 1983, picked up the gongs from the night’s host, the comedian John Bishop, at the West End’s Lyceum Theatre with the after-party at the Savoy Hotel.

Lindsay Garvey-Jones, national partnerships manager for Holiday Extras, said: “Wow! What a year it’s been for awards. A big thanks to the travel agents and partners from across the UK who voted for us. The competition was stiff and we are so proud to be the holders of both these awards.”
