Those wanting a career in the music industry now have a purpose-built centre to learn the skills of the trade.

The University of Kent has launched its Centre for Music and Audio Technology (CMAT) based on Chatham’s Historic Dockyard.

It is designed to meet the industry’s needs in three key areas - performance, technology and business.

The new degrees currently recruiting at CMAT are: BA (Hons) music business and production, BA (Hons) music, performance and production and BSc (Hons) music technology and audio production.
