THE funeral of Peter Quaife, one of Kent's best-known independent financial advisors, will take place at Vinters Park Crematorium, Maidstone, on Friday, April 12, at 3.30pm.

Mr Quaife, who founded the Maidstone Mortgage Centre, was the Kent Messenger Group's longest-serving columnist. He died suddenly at the age of 55 on March 26 in Hastings where he was living after a recent move from Coxheath.

His family has asked for donations to be made to Cruse Bereavement Care, a service that Mr Quaife and his late son, Gerard, both supported. Donations can be sent to the Maidstone Mortgage Centre in Albion Place.

Mr Quaife leaves a widow, Sally, and 29-year-old son Grant.
