MEDWAY is to have university courses in two of the most popular subjects in higher education - computing and business.

Local people will be able to study for HND and degree level qualifications at the University of Greenwich's campus at Chatham Maritime. The move follows a £4 million facelift for the campus this summer.

"Employers in Medway and Medway council have told us that these are subjects that the local area needs," said Dai Hall, head of recruitment and and marketing for the University of Greenwich at Medway. "Qualifications in Business and Computing can lead to good career opportunities in the region, helping regeneration in Medway."

The University of Greenwich at Medway has places in Business Administration, Business Studies and Computing. It also has options that combine its strengths in business subjects with Medway-based expertise; options include Geography and Tourism, Environmental Science and Tourism and Travel and Tourism Management.

There are interesting opportunities to study abroad for a year on the options that include Tourism. More information on Freephone 0800 005 006.
