A major theatre has joined the growing ranks of the county's increasingly popular array of escape rooms.

The Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury will open Escape Room: Marlowe's Ghost at its new venue on Stour Street in September.

The game, which see those taking part attempt to solve clues to reveal codes and clues, will take inspiration from 16th century writer Christopher Marlowe, after whom it is named.

The theatre’s head of artistic productions, Andy Dawson, said: “The opening of Marlowe’s Ghost is, we hope, an exciting example of how the Marlowe Kit will be engaging with all sorts of audiences and people in exploring the incredible stories of our city and Christopher Marlowe.”

It will join an ever increasing line-up of escape room games.
