A family-run company with stores across the county has been named National Bed Federation Retail Champion of the Year.

Sussex Beds, which has branches in Ashford, Canterbury, Maidstone, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells, were recognised by the National Bed Federation (NBF) - the industry's trade association.

The judges of the NBF Awards said “We were pleased to see their level was just as high as the previous year, if not elevated even further. It’s clear that elite UK-made beds are at the heart of the business’s plan.”

Suzanne Skinner, sales director at Sussex Beds, added: “The NBF Awards Gala dinner was a great night, it was really good to see so many people back in one room celebrating success. We are extremely proud to have won.”

Over the last 12 months, Sussex Beds has opened stores in Ashford and Canterbury and has plans for another Kent branch early in the new year.

It has also purchased and opened a second distribution hub - so it now has one in Sussex and Kent.
